The Nooksack Indian
Tribe is a recognized tribe under the Point
Elliott treaty of 1855. Its land base is
estimated to be 444.53, and its enrollment
is approximately 2000.

The Nooksack Indian Tribe is located 17 miles east
of Bellingham Washington in the small town
of Deming,
WA - population 210.
The Tribes governing body
consists of 8 elected officials. One Chairman, one
Vice-Chairman, one Treasurer, one Secretary and four
Council members. Each official is elected by all
eligible voters (18 or older) of the Nooksack Tribe.
