The Court Clerk must:

-
    Honor Confidentiality
-    Have Ethics
-    Be Professional, schedule the Court Docket
-    Be proficient in Record Management
-    Attempt to secure service of notices, other documents, and
BE A
    NEUTRAL PARTY
.

-    Helps the Judge during court Proceedings.  Prepares and maintains the 
     court calendar
-    Prepares correspondence, court documents, maintains time payments
     accounts for civil, fishing and criminal proceedings resulting in fines.
-    Provides secretarial and support services to the Judge Presenting Officer,
     Prosecuting Attorney, and assists other professional staff.  Communicates a
     wide variety of information related to court functions and procedures.  
-   Keeps the Tribal Code up to date.  Makes photocopies and more.  Front line
    person, and makes information available to interested parties.

The Court Clerk IS NOT:

   A Social Worker, Counselor, Attorney or an Enemy.  This person helps both
   parties by providing documents for them, by serving notices, by providing
   the use of updated Tribal Court of Laws for their information because it is
   the  clerk's job to serve the Court.

The Court Clerk DOES NOT:

-  Take sides
-  Declares one party a victim, and the other the villain
-  Doesn't make determinations in disputes or makes orders sentence
   defendant, or make decisions on behalf of the court other than scheduling. 
-  Clerks do not have any influence on the Judge's ruling and never discusses
   pending decisions with the Judge.
-  The Clerk doesn't discuss cases with any other person, except the individual
   parties, and then only to inform or direct.
