Types of Service Provided
Emergency Food Assistance
Program
Provides
emergency food vouchers redeemable at the Cost Cutter Store
in Sunset Square.
Eligibility:
- Enrolled Nooksack Tribal Member
- Fall within the income eligibility guidelines
- Available once ever six (6) months.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
Provides client assistance
for electric and gas bills.
Eligibility:
- Enrolled member of the Nooksack Indian Tribe.
- Must fall between the Income Eligibility Guidelines.
- Can apply only once per program year.
- Must provide a Urgent/shut off notice on account.
Native Employment Works (NEW)
Provides training and
employment activities.
- Alternative Education
- Job readiness activity
- Job retention services
- Job search assistance
- Job Development and placement
- Short term financial support for day care
- Support services available based on need while you're active in
Job Search, Training or to keep employment
Eligibility:
- Must fall between the Income eligibility guidelines.
- Must be enrolled Nooksack (exceptions may be considered to non-native and who are economic tied)
- Must complete application process to determine needs.
