Job Title:                    CYP  Project  Coordinator

SUMMARY

The CYP Project Coordinator will provide youth with educational activities to enhance creativity.  The CYP Project Coordinator will also monitor budget and ensure that program outcomes for the CYP Project are fulfilled. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.  OTHER RELATED DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  1. Maintain a High Level of confidentiality at all times
  2. Design, compiles, and post written educational lesson plans and presents a program including daily schedules with aides adhering to the lesson plan to include all areas of learning i.e. social/emotional, physical (fine and gross), cognitive and language
  3. Record amount of children at each meal
  4. Assist with Clean up i.e. garbage pick-up, supplies in proper area
  5. Help children develop habits of caring for own clothing and picking up and putting away supplies.
  6. Make adjustments to schedule as needed (in case of employee call in)
  7. Order supplies for a ten day work cycle
  8. Create and maintain current parent phone number list
  9. Prepares annual plan for each child
  10. Complete child portfolios in a timely manner
  11. Compile data for reports
  12. Evaluates the needs and progress of each individual child: plans and presents an appropriate program for each individual child as needed.
  13. Check in children on attendance sheet
  14. Provides and delivers quality educational activities to youth ages 5-18 years old
  15. Works in conjunction with youth program staff
  16. Coordinate, plan and assists with field trip activities
  17. Assists with special events; i.e. dances, holiday activities and fund raisers
  18. Instructs children in practices of personal and cleanliness and self-care
  19. Ensures parental involvement and participation
  20. Other related duties as assigned
  21. Provides educational assistance
  22. Attends staff in-service training
  23. Maintains and collects data for evaluator.
  24. Maintains data base
  25. Maintains student Individual Plans including keeping a record of emergency contact information, allergies, medical concerns, etc.
  26. Provides families with updated information on the program including field trips, or family involvement activities. 
  27. Provides permission slips to staff for distribution.
  28. Becomes the point of contact for families to call on information of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully and or willingness to train.  Skills include but may not be limited to: written, oral communication, typing skills, word processing and general computer skills, telephone and office equipment skills; familiarity with secretarial duties; the ability to communicate verbally and in writing; the ability to work independently exercising good judgment and initiative; familiarity with the fundamental rules of grammar and math; the ability to maintain the confidentiality of information the ability to clearly communicate with segments of the population

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE

High school Diploma or GED certificate.  Experience in field or related field

Willing to take additional training, classes courses related to job.
